When I was around 20 years old, I had the privilege of rescuing a six-year-old German Shepherd named Sedona, whose previous owner had passed away. Despite her struggles with behavioral and medical issues that made adoption difficult, we formed an incredible bond over the three years we spent together. Sedona was fiercely loyal, remarkably intelligent, and her unconditional love changed my life completely.
She became my Guardian Angel and sparked my passion for a career dedicated to making a difference in the lives of dogs. Since then, I have gained decades of experience in various aspects of pet care, including grooming, rescue, and shelter work, serving as a vet technician, and managing a doggy daycare. My journey with Sedona was the foundation of my commitment to helping needy animals.
I understand the importance of regular exercise, and mental stimulation in achieving a confident, calm, and fulfilled pup. As your dog walker, I will focus on helping your pooch lead an active lifestyle, provide social and fun playtime, and keep a much-needed routine that all dogs crave.
As a former vet tech and being CPR and first aid certified, I am extremely comfortable taking care of special needs pets, elderly pets, and administering medications. With my compassion and invaluable knowledge, you can rest assured that your furry pup, kitty, or bunny will be in the best hands!
At the center of my world is my family: my husband Frank, my twins Jake and Lilly and my two rescue dogs Hazel and Luna. I love hiking, spanish and rock music, going to Jake’s hockey games, and watching Lilly horseback ride.
Viviana Cordano is a godsend! We first became acquainted with her when we adopted a three-legged pitbull mix from the Animal Rescue League of Boston. We had planned a trip overseas and, several week before our departure, we saw news stories about a dog that had caught in an illegal leg-hold trap yet was eluding rescuers in my hometown of Barre, Mass. This dog’s story broke our heart — she had been on the run in the woods of that rural Central Massachusetts town for more than a month until she wandered into a garage. The alert homeowner closed her in and notified the police, who worked with the ARL to get the dog to a veterinarian for a life-saving amputation (thus, the three legs mentioned earlier). Anyway, we were blessed to be able to adopt this wonderful, heroic dog, but we were so close to the departure date, we thought we’d have to scuttle the trip. We didn’t want to leave the newly adopted dog in the care of just anyone. That’s when the ARL alerted us to Viviana, who had worked there in the past, and they told us about her extensive and varied background in caring for dogs. Well, we met her and we were bowled over by her combination of compassion and authoritativeness. We had no misgivings about leaving the dog, Holly, as well as Holly’s adopted brother Buddy (yes, the names are coincidental), in Viviana’s care. Since that first connection, we relied on Viviana’s care and wisdom for years, always knowing we could trust her with walks, dog-sitting sleep-overs and pet-care consultation. We are thrilled to know she is back in the area and back in business!
We give Viviana the highest recommendation as a pet walker and pet sitter. Viviana has taken care of my dogs for over 10 years as a pet walker, and she has also stayed over our home to take care of our dogs many times while we were away. My dogs adored her and that means everything to me. It is not just a business for her. It is her love. She demonstrates an enormous love and compassion for all animals. She is extremely knowledgeable regarding all aspects of canine care. She is reliable, trustworthy and goes above and beyond. We have only wonderful things to say about Viviana and highly recommend her to other pet owners who want the very best.
I was so lucky to have Viviana care for my beloved dog Maya while living in Wakefield,MA. She was attentive, reliable, processed a high attention to detail through her care, vast experience with special behavioral needs having worked in the shelter/veterinary world for years, and always timely. I’m so thankful for the time she spent with my Maya and a handful of foster kittens. She provided an unmatched personable animal care experience. Thank you Viviana for everything and how much you loved Maya!
Many years ago (16 to be exact), being a nervous new mom of a puppy, I searched and searched the Internet for a dog walker that I trusted to care for my baby. I feel incredibly lucky to have found Viviana. She was Molly’s first dog walker and as the years passed, I came to consider her to be Molly’s second mom. Eventually, due to circumstances beyond our control (such as my moving to another town), I had to hire other walkers to care for Molly and I realized that I was sooooo spoiled! Unlike many of the others, Viviana could always be counted on to arrive as planned, spend the full amount of time with her, and leave a note afterwards to let me know how their date went. Sadly, at almost 14, Molly’s health declined and I had to let her go but, being family at this point, Viviana was there with me as she took her final breath. Molly knew she was loved!<br> I have not gotten another dog since Molly passed, but if/when I do, I would not hesitate to call Viviana!
